Solutions, with its project subcontractors, Westat and the Los Angeles Department of Public Health Tobacco Control Program, conducted a three-year national research and evaluation study of smoke-free policies in multi-unit housing in two cities in Los Angeles County, California, and selected cities in Minnesota, Maine, and Florida. This study was one of the largest quasi-experimental pre- and post-test research projects in the nation evaluating the impact of smoke-free policies on residents’ exposure to secondhand smoke.
