CDC National Healthy Homes/Lead Poisoning Prevention Training Center

ltc_picture6Annually, since 2005, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has contracted Healthy Housing Solutions to develop the curricula and training materials and secure nationally known plenary speakers and highly qualified faculty members to facilitate two three-day National Healthy Homes and Lead Poisoning Prevention Training Centers per year.

Since 2005, there have been 19 training sessions with over 1,150 students trained.

CDC and Solutions offers this three-day training to any practitioner with an interest in building and sustaining healthy homes-related initiatives. This is your opportunity to connect with experienced professionals at the federal, state, and local levels about what has worked for their programs. Learn how to make your funding go further through strategic partnerships. Receive information about cost-effective, evidence-based housing interventions that will improve health outcomes in your community. Sanitarian continuing education credits have been available from the National Environmental Health Association. Nursing continuing education credits have been available through the Ohio Nurses Association.
