VPTs are recruited continuously though assignments may not be available immediately. As a Solutions VPT employee, you will join our growing roster of highly qualified professionals interested in improving communities and community health through the lens of residential health and safety. Positions may include both long- and short-term opportunities. Assignments are offered to VPT employees based on the availability of work requiring a specific skill set or area of expertise. Assignments could include but are not limited to the following types of work:
- Applied field research and evaluation
- Development and/or review of technical guidance documents or manuscripts
- Collecting, analyzing and managing health, housing, and environmental health data
- Risk assessment
- Economic evaluation
- Development of web-based or mobile applications
- Technical, policy, or regulatory analysis
- Strategic planning
- Policy development
VPT Scientist/Analyst or Technical Expert
Qualifications:
- Junior level: Undergraduate degree in area of expertise or related field and at least two years of professional experience.
- Intermediate level: Master’s degree in area of experience or related field and at least five years of professional experience.*
- Senior level: PhD in area of expertise or related field and at least five years of professional experience or a master’s degree and at least eight years of professional experience.*
*Additional years of relevant professional experience may be substituted for an advanced degree.
Location:
Healthy Housing Solutions is located in Columbia, Maryland; but in most cases qualified VPT candidates may be located anywhere in the U.S. and complete assignments by telecommuting.
Salary:
Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications and negotiated at time of hire.
