Pesticides Outreach Material Catalogue: Information for Your Home and Community

December 12th, 2017

The U.S. Environmental ProtectionAgency (EPA), Office of Pesticides Programs (OPP) Outreach Publications Catalogue, is a comprehensive listing of more than 50 outreach publications and 70 fact sheets available free of charge to the public. These publications are intended for use by the general public, including homeowners, parents, and urban community leaders. All publications listed in this catalogue provide useful information on responsible pesticide use, storage, and disposal practices. Many of them also include information on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques that reduce unnecessary exposure to pesticides and pests. This catalogue includes brief product abstracts; a snapshot of each publication; and location information for brochures, posters, reports, and CD-ROMs related to pesticide safety, IPM, and pest control. For example, you will find a suite of publications that will help you learn how to reduce environmental health hazards in the home, avoid illegal pesticides, reduce your family’s exposure to pesticides in the home and garden, and use IPM techniques for effective pest management. The catalogue features a number of fun and educational products designed for children. It also includes a wide range of materials for Spanish speakers. OPP’s Pesticides Outreach Materials Catalogue: Information for Your Home and Community is available online at www.epa.gov/pesticides/catalogue and in print. Readers can immediately access the publications online, in most cases, or order a copy from the source listed at the end of each publication’s description. We hope you find this new catalogue a useful addition to your reference library. We welcome your comments on the materials it contains and your suggestions for any additional pesticide-related topics you believe are not covered adequately in our inventory of pesticide outreach materials. Questions or comments about this publication can be directed to Kathy Seikel at Seikel.kathy@epa.gov or call 703–308–8272.
